چکیده

BACKGROUND: Skin wounds are a major challenge, such as full-thickness that need long time to heal. However, the addition of erythropoietin can accelerate wound healing process. AIM: This study was aimed determine effect topical administration on vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), epidermal (EGF), and epithelialization in METHODS: randomized controlled trial. Full-thickness were created back each white rat. No treatment administered control group (n=16), applied (n=16). The rats euthanized day 3 6 post-surgery, respectively. expression levels VEGF, EGF, microscopic rate examined. RESULTS: level EGF increased significantly by 2.84 times compared 4.89 (p < 0.001). VEGF 2.18 2.65 Meanwhile, 1.3 up 7.62 CONLUSION: Topical could increase both early inflammatory proliferative phases.

Evaluation of Periodontal Disease Effect on the Expression of Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor and Nerve Growth Factor in Dental Pulp

Introduction: Researchers have always been interested in the close and mutual relationship between the pulp and periodontal tissues. Although the effects of pulpal disease on periodontium have been well known, the clear relationship between periodontitis and pulp has not been documented . It seems that bacteria and inflammatory products of periodontitis can affect pulp through accessory canals,...

Expression of vascular permeability factor (vascular endothelial growth factor) by epidermal keratinocytes during wound healing

Persistent microvascular hyperpermeability to plasma proteins even after the cessation of injury is a characteristic but poorly understood feature of normal wound healing. It results in extravasation of fibrinogen that clots to form fibrin, which serves as a provisional matrix and promotes angiogenesis and scar formation. We present evidence indicating that vascular permeability factor (VPF; al...

The combined effect of recombinant human epidermal growth factor and erythropoietin on full-thickness wound healing in diabetic rat model.

Diabetic wound is a chronic wound in which normal process of wound healing is interrupted. Lack of blood supply, infection and lack of functional growth factors are assumed as some of the conditions that lead to non-healing environment. Epidermal growth factor (EGF) acts primarily to stimulate epithelial cell growth across wound. Erythropoietin (EPO) is a haematopoietic factor, which stimulates...

Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Production is Regulated by Gene Polymorphisms

Background: Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) has a key role in angiogene-sis and in transplantation. The level of VEGF is related to the differences in the DNA sequence of its promoter region. Objectives: In this study, the association between the combination of VEGF –1154 G and –2578 C alleles and VEGF production by LPS-stimulated PBMCs was investigated. In addition; the relationship ...

Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor from Embryonic Status to Cardiovascular Pathology

Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a multifunctional cytokine with distinct functions in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis, vascular permeability, and hematopoiesis. VEGF is a highly conserved, disulfide-bonded dimeric glycoprotein of 34 to 45 kDa produced by several cell types including fibroblasts, neutrophils, endothelial cells, and peripheral blood mononuclear cells, particularly T ...
